Three Workshops in a day!
Are you interested in making real time video art? In improvised music? In cool camera positions, weird effects or lighting your scene right? Let’s do it then. Here & now, in one day. When and Where?
The first event taking place on 11th July 2009 in Barcelona (Spain) and will be hosted by Hangar. It will consist of a set of workshops on audiovisual production and communication featuring a final presentation of the participants’ productions at the end of the day.

Antonio Catalano (ITA) – Intercultural Dynamics
Events responsible for CASO between art science and movement, Antonio took part as organizer in several youth exchange and courses for the European Youth Programme. The workshop will be both a way to getting to know each other and an introduction to intercultural learning.
16.30: How to build your own show!
Sebastián Mealla – video, cameras, Vjing
New Media artist and curator, he is the coordinator of Agosto Digital, annual program of art, science and technology at Centro Cultural España Córdoba (ARG). He’s member of Modular.org, an artistic and research collective working on the intersections of art, technology and Culture. The workshop will be based on the idea of audiovisual interventions using DIY live-video platforms that will be operated during the event.
Sytse Wierenga – lights
Sytse worked for 4 years in cinema and other AV business, as a set lighter, grip & cameraman/-assistant, but was trained as an incredibly old fashioned painter. Currently he has moved (too!) to interactive media arts. He will show how to use lights, reflections & shadows to get great shots with minimal means.
18.30: Marino Josè Malagnino – PSS PSSS PSSS music improvisation
Eclectic italian musician, Marino Josè introduced an innovative way of composing music by whispering into musicians’ ears. He will build up a performance with the participants and present his project for a musical trip around the world.
20.00: discussion with Oozebap collective.
Oozebap is an association based in Barcelona whose goal is promoting and studying deeply the African and Islamic contemporary societies.
20.30: DINNER
Dinner by Dídac P. Lagarriga. Among other proyects, Dídac cooks daily in Hangar, with traditional dishes between the Mediterranean area and Asia.
